The Grand Prix of the Netherlands has been postponed due to the Corona virus. The Formula 1 race at the Zandvoort circuit was scheduled for May 3.
The other Grands Prix in May is also canceled, as Formula 1 decided. After the Netherlands, Spain (May 10) and Monaco (May 24) were on the program.
"Given the current situation with COVID-19, Formula 1, FIA and the three circuits have had to make this decision," said Formula 1 in a press release. "We must be able to guarantee the health of all traveling staff, drivers and spectators, that is our primary concern."
Some of the delayed races may be held later this year. "Formula 1 and the FIA are working with the local authorities to look into the situation, and we will take enough time to study the possible alternative data if the situation improves.”
